Our Lady of La Vang Vietnamese Catholic Parish
About Us
Welcome to Our Lady of La Vang Vietnamese Catholic Parish, located at 123 NW 6th Avenue, Hallandale Beach, Florida 33009.
We are a vibrant, faith-filled parish community within the Archdiocese of Miami, dedicated especially to serving the Vietnamese Catholic faithful and all those seeking to deepen their relationship with Christ, under the patronage of Our Lady of La Vang.
Our Mission & Vision
Rooted in the rich Vietnamese Catholic tradition, our parish seeks to:
- Worship God in spirit and truth, offering the Eucharist, the Sacraments, and communal prayer services in both Vietnamese and English.
- Build community, embracing cultural heritage while welcoming all people regardless of background, language, or nationality.
- Serve the needs of our members and the wider community — spiritually, socially, and compassionately — guided by the Gospel and our patron, Our Lady of La Vang.
- Share faith, passing on the tradition of Catholic belief and Vietnamese Catholic identity to younger generations, and reaching out to newcomers and the broader South Florida community.
Our Story & Identity
Our parish takes its name from the Marian apparition tradition of Our Lady of La Vang in Vietnam, which holds special significance for Vietnamese Catholics worldwide.
Here in Hallandale Beach, we stand as a beacon of faith for our Vietnamese Catholic community in South Florida. We offer regular Masses in Vietnamese and bilingual formats, liturgical celebrations, devotional practices, and cultural-faith events that honour both our faith and heritage.
What We Offer
- Sunday Masses: 8:00 AM (Vietnamese), 9:30 AM (English & Vietnamese/Bilingual), 12:00 PM (Vietnamese) in the main church.
- Weekday Masses: Tuesdays at 7:00 AM; Wednesdays at 7:30 PM; Fridays at 7:00 AM; Saturdays at 7:00 AM in chapel — all primarily Vietnamese language.
- Confession: Sunday mornings in the church before Masses.
- Adoration: First Friday of the month, full-day Eucharistic adoration followed by Mass.
- Cultural & Faith Events: Celebrations of Vietnamese Marian feasts, community gatherings, youth ministries, and outreach programs to support our parishioners and neighbours.
Why We Are Here
We believe that through faith in Jesus Christ, guided by Mary under her title of Our Lady of La Vang, we can draw together our community in love, service, and unity. We honour our roots, affirm our present, and look forward with hope to a future where Christ’s love touches every life we encounter.
We invite you — whether you are long-time parishioner, visitor, or new to Catholic faith — to join us, to worship, to serve, and to grow in faith and fellowship together.
